In the high-stakes world of bond trading, where every second counts and market shifts can happen in the blink of an eye, traders at Algomi ALFA were facing an uphill battle. They were drowning in data, navigating complex systems, and constantly switching between platforms just to execute a single trade. The tools meant to empower them were instead slowing them down.
That’s where this story begins—with a challenge that demanded clarity, speed, and precision (and maybe a bit of design magic).

Bringing Clarity and Speed to Energy Markets with Scalable Design Systems
Project Type: Enterprise Trading Tool for OTC Energy Markets
Scope of Work: Design System Creation, UX/UI Design, Prototyping, Data Visualisation, Developer Handoff
Tools: Figma, Atomic Design, Stakeholder Workshops, Component Libraries
Domain: B2B SaaS · Energy Trading · Market Intelligence
OTC energy trading operates in a fast-paced, opaque world where traders need instant access to insights, historical data, and peer behaviour to act decisively. At Tallarium, a data-driven trading intelligence startup, traders were hampered by inconsistent UI patterns, a lack of visual hierarchy, and fragmented interfaces that slowed down decision-making.
This is where my work came in—to unify the product under a scalable design system, reduce friction for power users, and create a UI that brought complex data to life. It was a challenge that required balancing precision with speed, accessibility with power, and short-term delivery with long-term design ops maturity.
